Design has to work.
And feel different.
A hands-on industrial design practice bringing creativity, materials understanding and production experience to furniture for contemporary spaces.
IDEA → FORM → POSSIBLE PRODUCTIONOriginal thinking, grounded in making.
NEWEDGE Creative is led by Tim Harris, a qualified industrial designer with a background in product development, engineering and hands-on manufacturing processes.
Experience across composite materials, pattern making, mould development, design drafting and project coordination brings practical perspective to the creative process. Work has included contributions to furniture tooling, as well as products and components for specialist industries.
Today, the focus is on distinctive, practical furniture concepts for public landscapes, campuses, civic settings and commercial interiors — developed with consideration for the people who will use them and the businesses that may manufacture them.
Design development with manufacturing in mind.
Previous project contributions include pattern making, mould development, production documentation and project-management work associated with the Twig concrete street furniture bench. This experience informs a design approach that balances form, function and manufacturability.
Let's design what comes next.
